Loch Affric in Autumn
Loch Affric in Autumn
Glorious morning sunshine illuminating Scots Pine trees on the slopes of Am Meallan leading down to the Caledonian Forest around Loch Affric.
Many years ago - back when the Nikon D200 was young - I discovered this view, near the end of the road in Glen Affric - and loved the light on the landscape. The photo stayed one of my favourites for quite a while, but was due for refreshing with new equipment. So I set sail one morning (out of bed at 3am for a 2.5-hour drive north), watched the sunrise, went for a stroll beside the loch, and caught this view again with even better sunlight. Deep joy.
