Last sunlight reflecting off a foreground puddle, Black Mount / Glencoe
I love these mountains - particularly the smooth saddle shape of Sron nam Forsair, that small foothill of Clach Leathad.
It was not the most auspicious start to an afternoon's photography, driving all the way out to Glencoe to find I'd left the camera battery still in the charger at home. Luckily I carry a spare, which has little charge retention - so the austerity of photos felt like shooting film again.
The colours were just awesome, a hint of warm gold in a sea of cobalt blue sky and the meandering line of a frozen puddle in the foreground was a bonus.
