Along the Tay (colour)
Along the Tay (colour)
The River Tay wending through the Carse of Gowrie from Kinnoull Hill, Perth
I managed to live 4 years in Perth without finding time to take my own version of this shot. Returning after a few years' absence, it took me about 6 weeks to remember and go for it. Yummy, light and landscape and the Tay leading through it all.
I forget quite how many frames I stitched together to make this panorama, but it's a wider field of view than my 18mm lens and I used a Zeiss 50mm f/2.8 instead, which was bitingly sharp.
