Colourful Rock Abstract Texture

Colourful Rock Abstract Texture

A study in closeup photographs made in adverse shadow lighting, on the coast, Isle of Seil. In some ways, it reflects larger-scale landscape in its positioning of blue and red tones and small eroded holes. The geology of Easdale is mostly sedimentary rocks; slate quarried on several of the islands off the Argyll coast has been used as far afield as Melbourne and Nova Scotia until as recently as 1950. Taken on the Shen Hao large-format camera using Fuji Velvia-100 film.
