Everything under the Sun
A technical tour-de-force; the Loup of Fintry waterfall with HDR, panorama, Orton and other processing
A wide-angle landscape taken from right beside the top of the Loup of Fintry, an impressive waterfall of several layers totalling over a 90' drop. This photo is a technical tour-de-force: 15 separate frames, all taken using circular-polarizer (CP) and neutral-density (ND) filters for motion-blur went into this at source, a panorama of 5 portrait-orientated shots wide (stitched together with Hugin in fisheye projection mode), each comprising a 3-shot HDR (rendered in qtpfsgui on the default settings) with additional Orton and local tone-tweaks (not something I often do) in photoshop afterwards. The result is a distinct tonality and contrast, a very wide-angle view and motion-blurred water, focussed sharp from very close to infinity.
