Autumn at Birnam Hill:2

Display image: Autumn at Birnam Hill:2
Sometimes it pays to be a bit late. I knew it was the first day after the clocks went back an hour, so dusk would fall earlier in the day - yet still, didn't get to Birnam Hill until nearly 4pm. I strolled the usual favoured route in, and heading through the felled former forestry saw some clearr views along the A9 / River Tay with excellent mist and fog flowing down the Strath. I followed one of my usual routes around the hill, up to Stair Bridge viewpoint from which the vista was also excellent, and then descended through the mist layer in the pitch dark back to the car.
