If the unwary traveller had somehow managed to miss the clues in two large rocky overhangs on the path here, this place with its jumble of boulders and puddles really stands out as geological significance - and no surprise, it's right on the northern edge of the Highland Boundary Fault (a few miles wide at this point), so surface damage is to be expected.
I'd visited it a couple of times prior to this, both times being impressed at the geological turmoil; so for the third effort, I returned with a friend and a bunch of lights. Cue a couple of hours guddling around on grass-covered boulders, placing the individual LED lights in a path, waving toches and other lights to illuminate the scene... and then the return trip to collect them all and stroll a couple of miles back to the car and civilisation.
A technical challenge to process: I used focus-stacking of multiple 2-minute exposures to get everything in focus front to back, which also afforded plenty time to wave the lights around, resulting in multiple stacks which were combined in Affinity and the final toning tweaked to emulate the appearance of silvery moonlight.
