I'd only been to Rosemarkie once previously, at least 10 years ago, so with the weather saying it would be drastically cooler up on the Black Isle, it had to be done. After a 20-minute stroll through the woods (I'd forgotten the route!) I emerged at the famous scene with the main waterfall and run-off.
It still annoys me to see people persist in inserting coins into the fallen log - environmental vandalism.

I tried this scene a couple of ways - on the Sony using the 24-70mm lens at 24mm and f/18 with pixel-shift and on the Fuji X-T4 with 16-80mm lens using focus-stacking (seen here, and my preferred version, although it took a lot of work to balance an over-sharp focus-stack with a normal average stack).

Having a 4000-lumen LED torch, I also experimented with some light-painting: it may or may not be too apparent in the results but I used it to lift the shadows and emphasize the main waterfall cascades a liitte.
