Frandy Tree in Winter
One of the better-known trees in Perthshire photographic circles: the ash tree by Frandy Fishery, with its characteristic arced partially hollow trunk, branches and twigs blowing around in the wind like medusa.
I find it suits winter particularly well, the hillsides covered in uniform white from foreground to back.
As seems to be normal when visiting Glen Devon, the weather was highly variable this afternoon with everything from brilliant sun and white snow down to obscuring grey snow. The one constant seems to be the incredible wind blowing up the glen...
