The Gate of Mordor

Display image: The Gate of Mordor
An apocalyptic bit of a landscape - no less post-industrial even though the industry was trees. On the plus side, Blair Athol Estate is leaving this land to recover; evidence from further back down the path is that this might be quite successful, but meanwhile, it looks a sparse wasteland. Shows what happens with the lack of undergrowth in monoculture sitka spruce forests.
