Aurora and Meteor by the Frandy Tree, 20230918

Aurora and Meteor by the Frandy Tree, 20230918
Even before dark fell fully, I saw a couple of red alert notifications for the aurora, strolled round the corner to my usual viewing place and saw hints of a ray on an ipHone test shot. Very quickly I was back home, in the car, down the road to the Frandy Tree where I met another photographer with similar ideas...

A couple of long exposures combined to show the aurora glowing bright blue, purple and green and the much-loved old favourite ash tree at Frandy silhouetted in the foreground.
