Bow-Fiddle-Rock by Night

Bow-Fiddle-Rock by Night
A couple of years ago I started exploring the idea of landscape locations by night. This rock formation was one of the more obvious choices - so I arrived as it was getting dark, found a composition off to the right side of the bay and started experimenting with using a LED torch to illuminate the rock.

Many frames were taken using focus-stacking to increase resolution and automate small batches at the same time, while I illuminated the rocks - spending progressively more time the further out to sea the beam pointed so the final lighting would be more uniform whilst drawing attention to the line of rock leading from foreground to Bow-Fiddle itself.
Selected frames were blended in Affinity for final control.
