Grouse Hut, Urlar Moor

Grouse Hut, Urlar Moor
Amazing how much the weather can change in a matter of 15 miles or less. Leaving home, it was shaping up to be a gorgeous bright sunny golden hour; by the time I navigated up the tiny road through Glen Quaich past Loch Freuchie and up the *really* tiny road - now increasingly overgrown in addition to the usual steep S-bends - to Urlar Moor, all the light had faded and everything was cool blue-hour grey and cloudy.

Apart from that, it was my first time at this hut despite having driven past several times over the years; I found my composition immediately and made a combination of pixel-shift and HDR for long-exposure, low noise and tonal range. RAW conversion in darktable, tweaks in Affinity and finished in Luminar-AI
