Pre-Dawn, Loch Rannoch

Display image: Pre-Dawn, Loch Rannoch
A very cold late-autumn morning: snow had fallen, prohibiting travel further north, so I diverted to Loch Rannoch to wait for the sunrise. And rise it did: foreground rocks at the Annat Burn outflow were covered in snow, blue-green in the shadows; across the water, the sun rose in a blast of colour from behind Schiehallion.
